As the new year approaches, we tend to wonder what we can take from the last year. Either if it is memories, experiences, or clothes, we tend to look back and pick favorites.

As stated on the “Lyst Index” (a popular ranking of the year’s top fashion items), this year’s hottest items were Alaïa’s Fishnet Ballet Flats (Q3), LOEWE X ON’s Cloudtilt Loewe II (Q2), and Miu Miu x New Balance 530 SL Sneakers (Q1). Although, my personal favorites list differs a bit. This year’s top picks were Dragon Diffusion Nantucket & Santa Croce Bags (in, honestly, all the colors), Nangy Blazer from Source Unknown and a Charlotte Simone coat.

Aside from shopping, I’ve also been catching up on my reading this year. I can’t deny that Vogue was a staple (and the designated read), but apart from that, “Carolyn Bessette Kennedy: A Life in Fashion” and “Collecting Fashion by Alex Carl” have also made it to the wish/purchase list.

All in all, this year has been one for great style, great reads, and even greater memories. Here’s to whatever the next year brings.
